A lure angler’s life

Shop front

Using this shop window, you can buy lure angling equipment and related products from selected dealers as diverse as Sportfish and Tacklebargains. I have tried to link up with vendors who have given me outstanding service in the past or who carry goods and products that have served me well. I am always looking for others and if you have a site that services the sport of lure angling in any way and you would like to link to mine, please contact me here

All purchases made through this portal are serviced 100% directly by the vendors themselves. While I cannot be held responsible for any part of the transaction process, I would very much like to hear of your experiences when dealing with companies featured on this site, whether good or bad. I would not want to direct people to sites that  are unreliable in any way and so I keep my relationship with all of these companies under review at all times.

I have been buying stuff from SPORTFISH for a long time now and have always found their customer service to be of the highest standard. Given the similarities between fly-fishing and lure fishing, there is a huge overlap in product lines. The lure angler will find wading equipment , bags, clothes, tools, landing nets etc that are every bit as perfect for his sport as that of the trout fisherman. This is also a great site of you are into fly-fishing for pike and sea fish . There is also a very useful spinning section.

Tacklebargains have an awful lot of stock and there are loads of real bargains on this site. It is well worth trawling the categories for what you want. Much of what they sell comes from stock clearances and is priced accordingly. It really is a treasure trove, but you may have to skip through some of the less popular bits and pieces to find what you want. Trust me it is well worth the effort and over the years I have bought some very useful kit off this site.

When buying you need to bear in mind that exchange rates can change and will affect the cost of your purchases. Goods are frequently a similar price in dollars to what you would pay over here in pounds. Watch the postage costs and be prepared for some tax to be added if the parcel is checked by Uk customs. Ordering and paying is easy enough using a credit/debit card and you will be able to buy exactly what you need instead of something that might do. They also have a lot of interesting videos on their site.

Bass Pro are massive in the States and their stock is vast, you can purchase anything from a 4WD, trailer and boat to a single jighead from this site. Many of the methods and lures that we are just beginning to use over here have come from America, and there is no better place to look for those bits and pieces that are so rare this side of the water.
